Driver Rehabilitation Program
This program is designed for people who require a formal driving assessment before being allowed to drive. It consists of a Pre-Driving Evaluation that includes use of a driving simulator and assessment of the individual’s visual, perceptual, cognitive and physical abilities. Upon successful completion of this evaluation, the individual is then referred to local driving schools for on-the-road evaluation services. Although the program specializes in geriatric clients, it serves younger individuals with physical and cognitive limitations as well. For individuals who are not ready to resume driving, the program also provides resources for community transportation options.
