lectureThe Rusk Education and Training Committee organizes professional educational seminars on a monthly basis to Rusk professional staff which include Attending MDs, Housestaff MDS, Nurses, PTs, OTs, SWs, SPL Therapists, Psychologist, Horticulture Therapists and Therapeutic Recreation Therapists etc. For the most part, in house professional staff provide presentations, although we occasionally have relevant outside health care providers that are invited to present at these seminars. It is held on the first Wednesday of the month, from 12:00noon-1:00pm in Alumni Hall B. The length of presentation is usually 40 minutes and then 5-10m for Q&A. The goal of the Seminar series is to educate our staff on current research and evidence base rehabilitation medicine and therapy in order for the staff to integrate this knowledge into their practice.
